WHY CHOOSE CILO?

We’ll help you reduce your carbon footprint by 8% each year, in line with scientific targets to keep global warming below 1.5°C. Unlike other tools which ask you to pay for questionable offsets or buy from promoted “green” brands, our focus is purely on reduction.

OUR MISSION

Our goal is to help people reduce their impact on climate change by as much as possible.

We were inspired to build Cilo because of emotions that we encounter every day: we’re worried about climate change, we’d like to help, but we feel powerless. Maybe this is something you can relate to?

The thing is, though, we’re not powerless.

Almost two thirds of global emissions are a direct result of consumer behaviour. That means theres huge potential for us as individuals to have a genuine positive impact on climate change.

The issue is that figuring out how can be confusing and intimidating.

Imagine trying to save up money if none of the products you were buying had a price tag and you didn’t have a bank account to track your spending over time? That’s essentially what we’re facing when trying to reduce our carbon footprint right now.

That’s why we built Cilo.

If you believe in what we’re doing then please download and share our app. And feel free to reach out to us directly if you have any feedback! We can’t get better without it.

AND FINALLY..

HOW DO I PRONOUNCE CILO?

Great question, thanks for asking! It’s pronounced with a hard “c” (kee-low). That’s because we track your carbon footprint in carbon kilos, or Cilos!
